Marionette lines are lines that start at the outside of the mouth and go down to the jawline on both sides of the chin.
Why do we get smile lines?
Smile lines are a common result of ageing. There are a number of things that cause smile lines, for example:
- Repeating facial expressions over time, such as smiling and laughing
- reductions in the amount of collagen and elastin being produced in the body due to ageing
- The amount of fat in the face reduces as you age, which can cause sagging
- Genetics can also impact the severity or prominence of smile lines
What fillers are best for reducing the appearance of smile lines?

You can also use Restylane Refyne for treating nasolabial folds and marionette lines. It’s ideal for adding volume and elasticity back into the mouth and cheek area.
