What is HArmonyCa?
HArmonyCa is a hybrid injectable dermal filler treatment from Allergan. It combines hyaluronic acid (HA) with Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA), which is how it gets its name. It is designed to augment, tighten, and lift the skin via injections into the deep dermal and subdermal layers. It also encourages the production of collagen. HArmonyCa may improve your skin architecture by immediately lifting the skin, and supporting your body’s production of collagen.
How does HArmonyCa work?
The cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel plumps the skin, resulting in an immediate lifting effect. The CaHA particles support the body’s production of collagen, so that new collagen develops. New collagen can be present in the body as early as one week after treatment. Collagen is a protein that is naturally produced in the body, and it can be found in connective tissue, skin, tendon, bone, and cartilage. It provides structural support to tissue. As we age, our bodies’ product less collagen, which can lead to signs of ageing such as sagging skin and wrinkles.
How long do the results last for?
The results should last for around 18 to 36 months, before you will need treatment again. Immediately after the procedure, you will see an increase in volume. Overtime, you will see continuous improvement in the overall quality and appearance of the skin as a result of the new collagen production. HArmonyCa is suitable for individuals with signs of ageing. During your consultation, your healthcare professional will determine whether you are suitable for the treatment.
