What is Minerva PDO BC?
Minerva PDO BC (needle) is a cog thread. Minerva PDO cog threads have barbs that latch into your skin to provide support and lift the face. It results in a moderate facelift. This PDO thread provides a smoother insertion into the skin compared to normal needles, so skin damage bleeding, pain and swelling is minimised.
What are PDO thread lifts?
Thread lifts are a procedure which uses a dissolvable suture to tighten and lift the skin. It’s less invasive than facelift surgery, and is much quicker, making it a popular alternative to surgery.
The sutures in your skin trigger cells called fibroblasts to produce more collagen. Collagen gives the skin structure and elasticity. As we age, our bodies produce less collagen, so PDO threads can stimulate the skin tissue to produce more collagen.
Are there any risks or side effects?
PDO threads have fewer risks than facelift surgeries, and there’s less risk of scarring, severe bruising, or bleeding.
