What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is the first stabilized hyaluronic acid-based product that is manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents. Instead, it is thermally bonded.
The hyaluronic acid in Profhilo includes a combination of different molecular weights. It also counteracts the physiological reduction of hyaluronic acid in the skin, which will restore hydration, elasticity, and skin tone, as well as lifting the skin.
Profhilo products are used for skin remodelling and treating skin laxity. It can also fill lines and wrinkles, resulting in drastic improvements to tissue quality. Profhilo products are labelled as skin boosters and can be used alongside other aesthetic treatments, such as dermal filler treatments. What are the different Profhilo products?

Profhilo Body Kit:
Profhilo Body is an injectable solution, which is designed to improve skin laxity and remodel tissue in the inner arm and abdomen. It’s a non-invasive treatment, so the possibility of bruising and swelling is reduced. It will provide long-lasting hydration and encourage the production of collagen and elastin.
It also smooths and tightens the skin, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The Profhilo Body Kit includes two 3ml syringes of Profhilo Body, one pack of four Profhilo Figura Body Patches, and one 150ml bottle of Profhilo Figura Body Cream.
Profhilo H + L:
Profhilo H + L is a hyaluronic acid-based product, which remodels the skin, and treats skin laxity. It can also fill in lines and wrinkles. Profhilo H + L is mainly used on the cheeks and cheek region.
Profhilo Haenkenium Cream:
Profhilo Haenkenium cream is an antioxidant cream, which helps to maintain cellular vitality.
The cream includes hyaluronic acid and Salvia Haenkei extract, which is used after aesthetic treatments, due to its smoothing, hydrating and refreshing properties.
The cream protects the skin from premature ageing caused by oxidative stress factors, such as pollution, excessive exposure to UV rays, poor diet, and smoking. It also restores the protective barrier of sensitive skin, improves skin quality and elasticity, reduces the appearance of fine wrinkles and treats loss of firmness.
The cream can be applied 2 or three times a day, depending on individual needs.
What are the risks and side effects?
There are minimal side effects to Profhilo, however, you may experience redness, swelling or discomfort at the injection site. This should improve within 48 hours.
It is recommended that you avoid alcohol, or anti-inflammatory medication in the 24 hours before treatment.
Immediately after treatment, you should avoid wearing make-up, sports, swimming, and any other strenuous physical activity for 24 hours. It is also best to avoid saunas and steam rooms for a few days after treatment.
